You are correct in that we should focus on the things we enjoy. However, for Realtors especially, effective communications is almost a necessity to be successful in real estate. My suggestion is to join a Toastmasters club. In fact, many real estate offices have their own Toastmasters club. I have seen realtors join our club and excel beautifully. I teach effective communications and I encourage every student to join Toastmssters and be confident in speaking.
